This Luque's strength, known also as the castle "Hisn Lukk", seems to have his origin in the twilights of the emirate omeya (S. The IXth), and that is located on the base of a former Roman strength. It consists of two big towers and three linens of walls, constructed with rubble and sillarejos. It was Constructed by Muhammad I about the year 879 and reconstructed or reformed towards ends of the 13th century. The Saint was conquered by Fernando III in 1240.
Nowadays he is named Venceaire, which is a deformation of his original name, Albenzaide or Benzaide, which appears in texts of the year 1600. His conservation is in the condition of consolidated ruin.
