It was built in 1932 and for many decades was cinema. The building was purchased by the city of Cordoba in 2004 On 20 January 2009 the same remodeling project, designed by Rafael de la Hoz architect Castanys the refurbishment starting in mid-June of the same year was presented. The new theater opened in September 2011.
After refurbishing, the theater on the ground floor has a living representations with a capacity for 600 people, and on the top floor, where the summer movie, another room (Room Polyphemus) with capacity for 350 people was.
