GREEN ROUTE OF FUENTE OBEJUNA

Natural Medium. There are forests of holm oak, cork oaks and gall oaks, accompanied by a forest understory, honeysuckle, brooms, etc. It is worth mentioning the richness of aromatic and autochthonous plants both in quantity and quality. This trail links the towns of Fuente Obejuna with Fuente del Arco (Badajoz). One of the most interesting aspects of this greenway is that, when crossing it, one can appreciate, on the one hand, a great vegetal depopulation in the north, bordering Extremadura; while in the south, the landscape is radically different.

What to see? The highlight is, without a doubt, the town of Fuente Obejuna. They emphasize places like the parochial church Our Lady of the Castle, the House Cardona, the Convent of the Franciscan Parents, or the hermitage of Our Father Jesus Nazareno.
