The Iznájar reservoir or reservoir is located in the bed of the Genil river, occupying the surface of three different provinces (Córdoba, Málaga and Granada).
With a capacity of 981 million cubic meters, a perimeter of 100 kilometers and a length of 32 kilometers make it the largest in Andalusia and third in Spain. It is located at an altitude of 380 meters. It was inaugurated on June 6, 1969.
