Between the remains of buildings, it stands out, together with the former thermal one in brick, a beautiful architecture more urban than rural: the Electrical Substation realized in reinforced concrete with stylistic own features of the generation of architects of Madrid of 1925. The Substation, which it was supplying of electric power to the whole machinery of the mines, continues working at present supplying of electricity the peoples of Villanueva of the Duke, Alcaracejos, and Source the Boat.
Nowadays, in this plain of pasture, there is kept one of the most unknown mining sets of Andalusia, with historical testimonies of great documentary and patrimonial value.

Falta una explicación sobre las características de los filones, la gran riqueza de los mismos (fue la mina más rica en la historia de la Sociedad de Peñarroya, que me gustaría leer. Los datos se encuentran en la litoteca del Instituto Geológico y Minero, en los archivos de Peñarroya, en Pueblo Nuevo El Terrible
