To give the welcome to the spring we have The Battle of the Flowers of Cordova, a party in which one organizes a parade with fifteen coaches adorned with flowers. East parades will be done by the environment of the walk of the Victory.
It is celebrated on May 5 and with it, there is celebrated that the cold winter has ended and that, finally, the spring has come. And does not it represent the spring flowers and colors? Because of it, the city celebrates this moment so waited for the year with a festive battle where the flowers are the principal protagonists.
In the coaches there go women dressed in Fleming's suits and throw carnations (a total of 140.000) to the people and the public it returns the carnations. This image is the one that believes " the battle ".
It is one of the most popular parties in the city where citizens and tourists take part last Sunday of April.
The first information of this party dates back to the 40s, returning to recover this party in the 80s and since then it is celebrated every year, accompanied by a band of múscia of the city.
